Default Concept Class - Guardian/Magus

Guardian/Magus:
-A Devout to protects he's/she's Belief and to its People, Astrologers of Fate.
Using the Constellations to Guide and Protect them.

Story:
-Story of the Founder
Seeing her brother's death made her wan't to avenge her older brother.
She started to train in hand-to-hand combat and then she Devoted her life to Balthazar to bring Justice to her brother. Until one Faithful day she have seen her brother's killer she fought him with every blood and sweat she had, but he was too strong she died.Then Balthazar asked Dwayna to resurrect her for she have deed which no normal Human would do so then Dwayna resurrected her, She thanked Dwayna and Balthazar. Then she realized that she is still too weak and asked for guidance to Balthazar in her revenge. While in her training she looked up into to the stars and saw figures which looked like Beings. Which made her curious then she started studying it until she found alot of secrets about the constellations and then Kormir gave her the ability to call fort those Heavenly Beings she thanked Kormir. Then she continued for the search for her Brother's killer, she went on top of mountains to scary dark dungeons. While in her search she fought alot of enemies. Until she found the killer then she killed him. She made a Temple and a Guild called "The Gaurdians/Magus" then poeple who hunger for justice joined her to bring justice to (name of the continent she is from).

Characters of Story:

Protagonist:(Gaurdian/Magus)
Just think she has weilding Gauntlets^^. Think of naming her "Resha Oathkeeper".


Antagonist:(Assassin)
His the Killer O_O" !

His the Brother^^.

-Maximum Health 480.

-A Med-Heavy Armour.
-Starter Armor: AL 20
-Low: AL 30-40
-Medium: AL 50-60
-Maximum: AL 70

Summoner's/Evoker's
-Bonus: AL +15(If you have a summoned being).

Protector's
-Bonus: AL +30(Requires 13 Devotion).

Devote's
-Bonus: +10 Energy.


Weapons:

Gauntlets
Blunt Damage 9-22(req. 9)
Attack Speed 0.99 second
Dual Handed

Premise:
-Unlike other professions(Except Bunny Thumper) a Gaurdian/Magus can summon a Heavenly Being while fight in a Limited Time but it can support your allies alot^^!


Attribute:

Devotion(Primary)
-For each 2 ranks of Devotion the damage you take is reduced by -1 when you reach the rank 12 for Devotion you will gain the ability to attack while casting spells.
-Devotion specializes in increasing your defences and damage reduction.

Gauntlet Mastery
-Increases the damage using gauntlets, chance of inflicting critical hits and double striking.

Chakra Mastery
-Specializes in self healing, energy stealing and increasing allies damage to enemies.

Summoning
-Gives you the ability to summon Heavenly Beings and strengthening them.


Heavenly Beings(can only Summon 1 at a time).
An Heavenly Being have
-Maximum Health 750
-Maximum Energy 150
-4 Pipes of Health
-4 Pipes of Energy
-100 AL


Special Concept:
-This Profession can Summon, and Tank its Allies in battle.
-The name Magus came from the Summoning stuff
-and the Guardian came from the Tanking.


Skill Listing:

Devotion(Primary)

"I follow my fate!"[Elite]
-Shout, 5e|1/4c|20r : For 10-23 seconds, Whenever your a target of an attack that attack would be interupted. But you cannot attack.

Flesh of Steel
-Stance, 5e|1/4c|20r : For 5-15 seconds, you gain 1-12 damage reduction and become immune to Critical hits.

Auto-Counter
-Stance, 10e|1/4c|30r : For 8-18 second, You have 75% chance to block attacks. Whenever you block a melee attack the attacker takes disame amount of damage(Maximum 10-50 Damage).

Gauntlet Mastery

Chakra Punch[Elite](so its Spammable)
-Fist Attack, 5a|3/4c : If it hits, You deal +2-17 damage, lose all energy and equivalent to how much Energy you have lost is how much Andrenaline you gain.

Continues Assault(Works like when an Assassin in Ro attacks).
-Stance, 5e|1/4c|45r : The next time you attack will deal continues damage to target foe(Maximum 5-15 Strikes).

Energy Punch
-Fist attack, 5a|3/4c : If it hits, You Deal +10-24 damage and +10-24 additional Lightning Damage.

Power Punch
-Fist Attack, 8a|3/4c : If it hits, you deal +1-32 more damage.

Chakra Mastery

Chakra Cleansing[Elite]
-Skill, 5e|1/4c|1r : Heal self from all conditions and is healed for +5-20 health removed this way.

Chakra Absorption[Elite]
-Spell, 7e|2c|60r : Steal nearby enemies' energy and gain half of it(Maximum 15-30 Energy).

Chakra Restoration
-Enchantment Skill, 10e|1/4c|5r : Self Heal for +10-65 and +1-5 Health Regeneration.

Chakra Bomb
-Spell, 10e|1c|8r : Deal 50-125 Lightning Damage to touched and adjacent foes.

Chakra Barrier
-Spell, 15e|2c|25r : For the next Damage you take is converted to your energy(Maximum 20-50 Energy).

Chakra Storm

Strengths:
-A Guardian/Magus can Summon Heavenly Beings.

-A Guardian/Magus can Self Heal.
-A Guardian/Magus can Deal alot of damage.
-And ability to steal energy.

Weaknesses:
-Heavy Spike Damage.
-Domination Magics.(taking damages from it.)
-Degenerations.(Degens don't affect the damage reduction.)

This profession is over powered for sure. One example is the devotion attribute. With lvl 16 devotion that would give u a constant -32 dmg reduction plus the non elite stance flesh of steel in the same attribute line that gives -34 dmg for a total of -66 dmg that can be kept on forever. Anyone see that overpowered? Second, a sommoned monster with the ablility to knock down every attack? Or one that does 500 lightning damage? Come on that is way overpowered. This idea is pretty good though so if you could heavily nerf the skills and attributes maybe -1 dmg every two attributes of devotion then this wouldn't be that bad. And also, why don't you have any non-elite skills?

Oh btw, I can see 8 Guardian/Magus' with all same/different summons :P

This class concept takes reduced damage, is able to cast spells while attacking, has a high chance to do critical hits, can double strike, self-heals, steals energy, increases damage, and is a summoner. Dude, there is a reason there are multiple classes that specialize in different techniques. Do the following if you want to make a worthy offering:

1) First and foremost, create a novel function.
2) Explain how it works.
3) Attach a cool identity and background.

This concept doesn't really offer anything new, it just jumbles a million skills into one. The identity could possibly be cool if it were expanded beyond a two sentence explanation. There's also no real explanation of how it functions.

The Critical hit is not that high its disame as a normal sin(without the critical mastery), dervish and war weapon masteries, Thanks ill add that ^^!

Basically all your summons are elite ritualist spirits that can mvoe along with the party, and cost less energy recharge twice as fast and all last too long.

Now personally there are a few spirits I want elite versions off(shelter for instance), but a diferent class is not really how I would want that.

Though many people want a unarmed fighter, slapping 2 gauntlets on a class and saying they hit people with those is not the way to do that it belive.
Use equpable fightingstyles that have a 3/4/5/6(perhaps increasing with the level of the item) hit pattern each hit a diferent animation and difent damage figures, or effects. Such as:
  1. Blunt: 10-25
  2. 50% interupt
  3. Blunt: 5-15 & 25% cripple
  4. Block attack
  5. Blunt: 15-30 (2 seconds recharge before next combo)
With kicks and good looking animations, that seems the only way to not make unarmed combat look underpowered apposed to swords and other weapons. just hitting a foe would not really look powerfull would it.

What is a ASPD? Did I miss something? is it an ald elite?

They have far too overpowered energy denial form foes, chacra fo absorption on its own would make a unplug build able to dominate PvP you would not need any other skill to keep the enemy monks energy at <5.

one can over do pre-nerfing I often say you do not really need to, but here it looks like you deliberatly overpowered that is normal for FC forums but Anet does not nerf all skills by 60% before placing them ingame and thereby you can post them with their normal power, makes the class easyer to reed too.

Though I can't directly make it up out of a 2 class comby it does not really bring anything unique, summoning holy/celestial being is similar to sumoning spirits as a ritualist, not exactly the same but you still use the creatures to support your party, just like RT spirits.
Also you can't have a non primary abilety that has almost no other skills than elites, each class has a set amount of elites I think(or a set to start and +2 every expantion, I may be wrong)
somany elite summons would not leave much to work with.

The -32 damage from the elite together with the healing capabileties of the class, is as others have stated not feasable.
It might be posible as a conditional effect(elemental damage only or such) for the primary or a skill in the primary of a class that has poor healing abileties, but for this class is just not done.

I thought I have fixed the prob. about devotion I lowered it down to -8 damage reduction. please read again^^. ASPD means "Attack SPeeD".

Oh, not sure where it originally came from but guru uses the term re-swing instead of attack speed, just naming so I guess theres nothing wrong with it I just got confused.
Perhaps because in other games diferent weapons and profesions can have diferent attack times as well as recharge times, in GW wether you swing a sword fire a bow or wiggle your wand the time it takes is the same the reswing is diferent for them though.
Still rank 16 of what, none fo the skills you have say increases attack speed by ...
I'm glad none of them do because when used with weapons other than gauntlets that would be unblancing, especially when coupled with other attackspeed increase skills(most of which are deliberatly stances so they don't stack).

With a max of 8 damage reduction it is better yes, it adds abilety to tank without Highly increasing armor, making the class morelikely to be targeted and still able to survive.
But able to attack while casting at 12, its something interesting and will likely be very usefull.
But if it is only applied at 1 point why is it not a skill, all abilety increases are usually scaling, if you make it a enchantment with long duration it is likely to achieve the same effect but fit more into GW.

Still the summons need a diferent role than a suporting pet, they should do things the class can not do without them that is why you summon them is it not?

I like the ciritcal critter, as the class does not have skill to increase ally crit chance without it, giving it less of a supportive role.
Still it needs to be severely nerfed down in order to be functional(every hit OMG I want a disrupting acurecy and keen arrow with that to PWN the heck out of any spell caster and I guess everyone else in PvP(and unlike sin crit increases it is not on primary))
Not even mentioning that it deals a lot of crits itself right?
